Lyons Community School

Lyons Community School is finishing its first year, and we are looking for
staff to join us for our second year. Lyons is a small, progressive New
York City public secondary school with a liberal arts focus. We are located
in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Our program includes weekly field studies
classes where students travel to different sites across the city, elective
classes to meet students' needs and interests, an advisory program that
includes regular reflective and goal setting meetings between adviser and
student, and arts and physical wellness classes that are integral to our
program.
We are looking for teachers in almost all subject areas, including English,
Social Studies, Humanities, Mathematics, Science, Spanish, Art, and Special
Education, as we are adding a 7th and 10th grade programs in September
