Weekly Plan for Non-Teaching Periods
WEEKLY PLAN FOR NON-TEACHING PERIODS
(A tool developed by a Teachers Unite member and Bronx H.S. teacher)
Every high school teacher has:
· 25 Teaching Periods
· 5 Duty Free Lunch Periods
· 5 Prep Periods that you can choose how to use
· 5 Circular-6 periods that will be assigned after a consultation between the UFT and the Administration
o Your circular 6 assignment must be consistent for the entire semester
Teachers can use this chart to keep track of how they are using your time. This should help educators have realistic conversations about the amount of time you have to do your work and hopefully avoid unrealistic expectations. This is for your records only, but please feel free to use it in conversations if you feel you are being asked to do too much.
